This summer we had the pleasure of visiting a state we had never been to–Vermont. It was as beautiful as we imagined and we especially loved the bed & breakfast we stayed at in Woodstock–Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm. We took many day trips, hikes, hours of reading and stayed off the grid as much as possible. It was so refreshing! After Woodstock, we moseyed on over to Cape Cod to spend a lovely week on the beaches. We also met up with some long time east coast friends which was an added little bonus. Thank goodness for vacations–now I’m back and ready to take on the new school year and the new wedding season ahead. Enjoy the visual journey of our trip!
We flew into Boston and on our way to Vermont we did some (off the beaten path) site seeing through New Hampshire. We came across this little town (very little) of Harrisville. It was so quiet and picture perfect. We ate at the only store/restaurant in town and I was thrilled to find vegan options on the menu!
This is the inn we stayed at all week, Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm. We searched for the perfect place to stay that would give us the quintessential Vermont experience. We were not disappointed. The inn is situated about five miles outside of Woodstock and the owners/inn keepers are the best! Tory…thanks for the amazing vegan breakfasts made just for me : )
The garden at the inn–love this idea for a garden gate. Meet Tilly, the cat.
We loved this big barn. The owners would open it up for us in the evenings. Great place to share a bottle of wine and watch the world go by.
The lovely covered bridged and farms in Vermont.
There are still signs of the devistation from Hurricane Irene.
What would a trip to Vermont be without visiting the Ben & Jerry’s factory! The flavor graveyard was especially cute.
Road trip to Dartmouth University in Hanover, NH and to the State Capitol…gotta love the name of the guy running for Senate.
On to Cape Cod…nothing to do but relax.
Martha’s Vineyard…so beautiful.
Last night was in Boston….view from our hotel.
